As mágicas criações de Tom Otuké

Tom Otuké é um artista único, autodidata, super criativo, que vem erguendo um universo pictórico próprio, original, onde o mundo dos humanos se funde com o multiverso habitado por diversos outros seres. Seus trabalhos são um convite à contemplação, à descoberta, ao deleite. Como ele mesmo declara, “cada obra minha é um mundo à parte. Mesmo as que fazem parte de séries são trabalhos únicos, especiais, em que busco no fundo da minha alma o meu toque e visão”.

Segundo Otuké conta, “cada quadro demora dias ou semanas para ficar pronto. E mesmo assim, a impressão que tenho é que nunca está acabado, que posso passar dias, semanas, meses e anos a aperfeiçoá-los, ou a buscar um detalhe específico que gostaria que a obra tivesse”. Perfeccionista e dedicado, o artista vem criando sem parar há anos, mas só a pouco resolveu abrir seu baú de histórias e mostrar o que tem lá dentro, mesmo assim apenas para os/as amigos/as mais próximos. “Minha intenção é ter obras suficientes para montar uma exposição bonita, agradável, surpreendente, onde tanto as crianças quanto os adultos possam admirar e se encantar com o que verão”, assume, ainda um pouco tímido e inseguro.

Talento não falta a Tom Otuké, como se poderá comprovar ao ver alguns dos trabalhos que ele disponibilizou para sua apresentação, sempre bastante coloridos e com muitas plantas. “Me importo muito com as mudanças climáticas, sou um guardião da natureza e meu trabalho é um alerta contra a devastação em curso!”, explica ele.

Ao ser entrevistado para uma revista, o artista respondeu que sua arte é o principal, por isso ele não gosta de aparecer muito, quase não dá entrevistas e vive sua vida de forma low-profile. Entretanto, sua arte fala por si própria, com muita originalidade, delicadeza e elegância.
